Synopsis of the Book from Goodreads
Kazu Kibuishi's thrilling, NEW YORK TIMES
bestselling series continues!
Emily and her friends think they'll find the help they need in Cielis, but something isn't right. Streets that were once busy are deserted, and the townspeople who are left live in crippling fear. Emily is escorted to the Academy where she's expected to compete for a spot on the Guardian Council, the most powerful Stonekeepers. But as the number of competitors gets smaller and smaller, a terrible secret is slowly uncovered--a secret that, if left buried, means certain destruction of everything Emily fights for.

My Review
Cover: I love that the cover conveys what is to
come in this book so to speak. It give a glimpse of what Emily with her family
and friends are up to in their journey.
Things that I did like: I really like how this series just keeps continuing where the previous books left off. I enjoy reading about these characters but I am really happy that they end one book and the next book starts right up where it left off. It doesn't seem like time has passed. I really joy looking at all of the colors that are used throughout the graphic novel. The illustrators did a really good job with the colors and the drawing out the enemies and obstacles that Emily and friends have to go through and deal with. I really enjoyed seeing that story progress as well just as any other book would.
Things that I didn't like: I don't have any complaints on this one.
Overall: I would rate this book a 5 out of 5 stars, and I would highly recommend this series and this book to me friends.
