Blog 183: Switched

Synopsis of the Book from Goodreads
When Wendy Everly was six-years-old, her mother was convinced she was a monster and tried to kill her. It isn't until eleven years later that Wendy finds out her mother might've been telling the truth. With the help of Finn Holmes, Wendy finds herself in a world she never knew existed - and it's one she's not sure if she wants to be a part of.

Includes a bonus story "The Vittra Attacks"

My Review
Note: I read this book while listening to the audiobook.

Cover: I really enjoyed the cover of this book with all its vivid red coloring and the girl in the white dress with the castle like structure in the back.

Things that I liked: I really enjoyed the characters of the story. They seemed really realistic in a fantasy kind of way...it was interesting that they will trolls but they looked like humans at least that is what I gathered from the story. I go like the plot line, a sort of coming of age story with a twist. I loved that there is a love interest that seems kind of forbidden I believe. I really enjoyed this story and look forward to reading its sequels.

Things that I didn't like: There were some parts in the beginning that I wished the characters would have said or done things different. It started out really slow for me and I think that is where the audiobook helped a book to peak my interest. The narrator was really good at getting the different voices.

Overall: I enjoyed reading this book and will be reading the sequels. I would rate these books 4 out of 5 stars, and would recommend this book anyone who has not read anything by Amanda Hocking.
