About the Book:
For thirty-five girls, the Selection is the chance of a
lifetime. The opportunity to escape the life laid out for them since birth. To
be swept up in a world of glittering gowns and priceless jewels. To live in the
palace and compete for the heart of the gorgeous Prince Maxon.
But for America Singer, being Selected is a nightmare. It means turning her back on her secret love with Aspen, who is a caste below her. Leaving her home to enter a fierce competition for a crown she doesn't want. Living in a palace that is constantly threatened by violent rebel attacks.
Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she's made for herself- and realizes that the life she's always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.

My Review:
Where to start… oh yeah.... I really LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!
Concept: I
really thought this concept was interesting. It kind of reminded me of the
Hunger Games and the Bachelor TV show. The Hunger Games just because there were
35 girls being narrowed down to one winner. The Bachelor TV show, because of what is
going on in the story. 35 girls are trying to win the love and affection of the
Prince Maxon of Illea.
Two Guys:
America Singer is one of the 35 girls that were chosen to live in the palace
while the "The Selection" competition was going on. She has been
talking to the Prince since day 1. America is more of the prince's confidante
than a girl of the Selected. But then Aspen comes back into the picture. Now
America has to choose one or the other. Honestly, after what Aspen did to her
before she was picked for the selection, I think America should choose to go
after Maxon. I look forward to seeing who she chooses.
I don't want to say to much else about the book without
giving away spoiler information. I will just say this: I LOVED THIS BOOK, and I
HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!
Until next time, Happy Reading!

I totally agree with you about Aspen. Despite that, I really liked it!
Yeah I'm not a big fan of Aspen at the moment, I'm rooting for America and Maxon actually.
