Blog 17 - Bran Hambric: The Specter Key

Hey Guys!

It's time for another book review. Today's book review is for Kaleb Nation's Bran Hambric: The Specter Key.

About the book
Bran Hambric believes that the Farfield Curse is over with. But when he discovers a safe-deposit box in his dead mother’s name — in the very bank vault where he was discovered as a boy — Bran’s past comes rushing back. Now he’s on a frightening path that puts everyone he cares about in danger.
When Bran’s best friend, Astara, is kidnapped, Bran will do whatever it takes to save her and prevent the evil mage on his trail from claiming the power of the curse for herself. But will the magic destroy him the way it destroyed his mother?

My Review
Okay so I just finished reading this book. First of all lets discuss the cover. I love that it is a totally different color than the first book. The first book was blue, while this book is green. I mean I know the cover is suppose to look different being that this is the sequel to the first book. I love the characters in this book whether they were in the first book, or new in this one. Two characters that stuck with me were Gary and Thomas. I'm not quite sure how I feel about Thomas even though he is Bran's father. But Gary is a different story. I like where he lives in a house under the water. I really enjoyed really this book, because the story goes deeper into the mystery of Bran's life as a mage. I liked the ending and how it was left open for the third book, if there is one. Though I hope there is a third installment of the Bran Hambric series. I recommend this book to anyone who read the first Bran Hambric: The Farfield Curse, and to those who like the magical adventures.

I will have more blog posts soon. As always please subscribe, and leave comments if you wish. Until next time Happy Reading and Writing!!
